Rome was not built in a day?

bah! i'm back!

i want all my readers to be part of those well-informed and full of general knowledge, so here i am, sharing what i found out recently in the news.

you know the idiom "Rome was not built in a day"? its sooooooo not true! a historian found a contract dated back to few hundred BC and it was translated to english. it was something like the contractor gave promise to the king that the construction of Rome will be completed by sunset, if not their heads will be fed to the lions!

can you believe it? Rome was built in half a day!

so next time when you wanna use the idiom in your essay or something, try using something like "Great wall of china wasn't built in a day".
